Research

Sarah-Jane’s creative and professional practice is informed by critical spatial theory – and more practically, the idea of working in and creating a collaborative, creative, exciting space.

Her doctorate hopes to find out if there is a ‘critical radical rural’ within education, and if there is, what it might look like. It hopes to create/articulate a counter-narrative to a sector which is often considered as either being culturally/socially narrow and archaic, or increasingly large-scale, similar and urban-centred.
